HOUSEGUARD® is a complete waterproofing system that waterproofs, insulates and drains water away from the basement.
Tru-Dry™ is not a cheap damp proofing product! It's an environmentally friendly, low cost, elastic waterproofing barrier that protects your basement against water leaks. HouseGuard® starts with the Tru-Dry™ product application and incorporates Dow Styrofoam® board. This product will not crush or slide down the foundation wall during the backfilling operation.
This special 1 inch Styrofoam® blue board is designed to minimize cost and offer maximum value in insulation from heat and cold, water drainage and protection against wall damage. Styrofoam® is a moisture resistant, strong foam product developed and manufactured by The Dow Chemical Company. The grooved design in the face of the board is channeled to direct water away from the foundation wall. This is important because water pressure on the wall causes cracks allowing water to enter.
