Background . . . from humble to extraordinary! William F. Liguori Sr., President of WFL Construction Inc. (WFL) started this company in the home construction and renovation fields in 1989. It was truly a humble beginning starting in Bills home garage, in LaGrange, NY. Having little more in assets than a strong confidence in his abilities and a burning desire to make a success of this endeavor Bill soon had his first project, an ambitious 3200 Square foot home, set in a remote heavily wooded hilltop site which made a complicated custom house design especially difficult to construct. A distinct learning experience which was completed on time & budget, effectively creating WFL's first satisfied customer. The Successful completion of this project formed the operational foundation for future projects and business ethics/practices. Soon WFL expanded into its first official office location in Freedom Business Center, also located in LaGrange. Projects now included new home construction and renovations. In 1993 WFL again needed to expand and moved into its current location on Commerce Street in LaGrange. It was at this point that Beekman developer, Ann Dalton, approached WFL to consider accepting a contract to build for them exclusively. Bill took a deep breath and decided to embrace this ambitious new opportunity. In the nearly three years that followed with the Dalton Farms project WFL successfully completed 70 units, within budget and without a single closing date missed due to schedule over-runs. During this same period, WFL was building custom homes for several landowners as well. When the Dalton Contract ended in 1996, WFL began to buy various lots, in Harts Farm, subdivision, and build on speculation to sell, in addition to its continuing contractual sales. In 1997 WFL obtained exclusivity in The Landings at Pond Hill a 30-lot subdivision in LaGrange. The combination of architect James Fahys unique home designs and WFL's considerable technical and management capabilities blended with its total personal care policy made the Landings at Pond Hill into not only one of LaGrange's most premier subdivisions but additionally one of its most highly owner satisfied ones. In 1999 Freedom Heights in the Town of Pleasant Valley became WFL's second subdivision and the first completely developed from raw land, through approval/development procedures and finished custom home construction. Rachel Road (named after Bills grand-daughter) guides customers into this exclusive 10-lot cul-de-sac. Like the Landings at Pond Hills, Harts Farm , Strawberry Fields of LaGrange and Heritage Hills of East Fishkill Freedom Heights, has become a standout among premier housing. By 2000, WFL had grown to a full time staff of 10 dedicated professionals. WFL now concentrated exclusively on custom home construction and large residential renovations. Today WFL works closely with several local real-estate agents and typically has multiple on-going custom homes, including WFL exclusive sub-divisions such as, Sunset Ridge of LaGrange, Apple Blossom Estates of New Paltz and Avalon Hills Estates of Pleasant Valley. Many desirable lots and homes are available in these locations. A strong family and community focused company, WFL has been a long time member in good standing with the Better Business Bureau, Poughkeepsie Chamber of Commerce, Hudson Valley Builders Association and the LaGrange Rotary. Additionally WFL has sponsored LaGrange Little League for over 9 years. Currently Bill and wife Teresa (Office Manager) and sons Jay and Bill Jr. (Vice President) continue to reside in this rapidly expanding LaGrange community WFL has done so much to improve.
